Privacy Policy for ActionBox

ActionBox ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ActionBox handles information when you use our Android application.
1. Notification Access
ActionBox requires Notification Access permission to function. This permission allows the app to read the content of notifications you receive on your device (sender, message text, app source, timestamp) in order to classify them into categories (Action, Reply, Waiting, Deadline, FYI, Noise).
All notification content is processed entirely on your device. ActionBox does not upload, transmit, or store your notification content on any external server. Classification happens locally using on-device logic and does not rely on any cloud service.
2. Data Storage
Notification data processed by ActionBox is stored locally on your device only. Free users' data is retained for 14 days; Pro subscribers' data is retained until manually deleted by the user. This data is never transmitted off your device by ActionBox.
3. Third-Party Services
ActionBox uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob — displays advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy for the purpose of showing relevant ads. Ads are not shown to Pro subscribers.
- Google Play Billing — processes Pro subscription purchases. Payment information is handled entirely by Google Play and is never seen or stored by ActionBox.
ActionBox does not use any analytics or crash-reporting service that transmits data off your device.
4. Permissions
ActionBox requests the following permissions:
- Notification access — to read and classify notifications
- Boot completed — to resume notification classification after your device restarts
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your notification content or personal data with third parties, except as necessary for the third-party services listed above (AdMob, Play Billing) to function.
6. Your Choices
You can revoke Notification Access permission at any time through your device's Settings, which will stop ActionBox from reading new notifications. You can uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data.
7. Children's Privacy
ActionBox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
